"At 6 months postpartum, I was so eager to get back to running, but felt nervous given all of the changes my body had gone through."
I’ve trained with Laura with great success for several half marathons, but this year I sought help navigating a new life phase: motherhood!
I felt lost trying to understand what nutrition I need as a new breastfeeding mom, and I felt like a stranger in my own postpartum body. At 6 months postpartum, I was so eager to get back to running, but felt nervous given all of the changes my body had gone through over the past year and a half.
Laura helped me set realistic goals for both running and nutrition. Week after week, I felt changes in my body: I was running stronger, regaining lost mobility and stability, and my pre-pregnancy running clothes started fitting better. I checked off milestone after milestone: longest run since before baby, longest without walking, longest run in 2 years, etc.
Working with ERT helped me rebuild my confidence as a runner, and the nutrition and training plans helped me feel more like myself again. I'm so grateful for the guidance and the cheering Laura gave me! Oh, and I completely crushed it on race day which felt incredible too!
My advice for new moms: no shame in asking for help and do not skip the pre-run warmups.

"The best decision I made on my running journey was working with Eat Run Thrive Coaching."
I realized that, with a stay-at-home job, my physical health wasn’t the greatest and I needed to involve myself in something active. So, like every other early-mid-life crisis millennial, I decided to run a marathon.
I can say with 100% confidence that the best decision I made on my running journey was working with Eat Run Thrive Coaching. I started working with Laura at the very beginning and she helped create a foundation in two major ways: teaching me how to increase my endurance while minimizing risk of injury, and emphasizing the importance of fueling.
I never in my life thought that I could actually complete a marathon, but Laura got me there. Distances I used to find long and impossible I now will run on the weekends for fun. I have new friends that I have met through run clubs and new goals to travel America completing more races.
Laura gave me the confidence, provided the motivation, and instilled the discipline in me to keep me going. Reaching out to Eat Run Thrive was my best decision in a long time!

"Eat Run Thrive Coaching took me from a non-runner to a half marathoner!"
When I started working with ERT, I was not a runner. As a matter of fact, I hated running but hesitantly signed up for a charity half marathon with a friend. I knew that I could not go from a non-runner to running a half without any help, so I hired Laura.
With Laura’s support and training plan, I was able to complete my half, finish strong and well under my target goal. I was even able to go out on the town that night and enjoy my victory. As a person who never ran, I would highly recommend Laura. Her training plan kept me injury free and helped me learn to enjoy running!
I will continue to work with Laura as I have more races planned for next year! 10/10 highly recommend!

"I'm a healthier, happier, and faster guy!"
I’ve spent most of this year running - first trying to run a fast mile, then trying to run a first marathon - and it’s been awesome.
As I started to take running more seriously, I realized that nutrition was an important piece of the puzzle. That’s where Eat Run Thrive Coaching came in.
Laura helped me to optimize my everyday nutrition, and I learned how to properly fuel myself before, during, and after my runs to support my distance running goals.
I recently ran my first marathon and was able to break 4 hours, and even hit a negative split. Getting my fueling right was a key part in achieving these goals.
Today, I’m a healthier, happier, and faster guy, and I’m excited to keep running!

“Choosing Eat Run Thrive Coaching was without a doubt the best decision I made while training for my first marathon."
Before I began working with Laura, I was using an app and was starting to feel overwhelmed with training. Laura came up with a personalized 16 week plan that was manageable, fun, and challenging.
Throughout the process, she was extremely flexible and easy to communicate with, making necessary tweaks along the way as any aches/ pains popped up. Any time I felt tired or a run didn’t go as I’d hoped, especially in weeks prior to the race, she emphasized the importance of rest/ recovery and was a source of positivity.
When completing the marathon, I was able to run the entire race, finish it feeling strong, and recover quickly, which I attribute to Laura’s coaching. Laura has gotten me to enjoy the training process and I look forward to continuing working with her more in the future!

"Totally worth the investment!"
Eat Run Thrive Coaching helped me with a training plan that delivered tangible results on race day…and I rediscovered my passion for running along the way.
I would characterize myself as an experienced marathoner, meaning I’ve run marathons before (15 actually, but who’s counting). But when it comes to marathon training, I'm more of a novice. In the past, I would simply use whatever 12-week plan was available for free online - a strategy that maybe worked in my 20s, but has certainly taken a toll on me (and my body) in my 30s.
Enter Coach Laura! She designed a personalized training plan that worked for my schedule and aligned with my goals. This past weekend, I ran the Kiawah Island Marathon and, largely due to my ERT running plan, achieved my best finishing time since my first marathon (at age 22). More importantly, I actually felt a level of confidence and health that’s been lacking for a long time. I credit Coach Laura and her process!

“I couldn't be more satisfied with my Eat Run Thrive Coaching experience."
Coach Laura was so comprehensive in understanding my goals and getting to know my habits through written exercises, tracking, and the conversations that we had. She expertly personalized my marathon training plan to build running strength and speed.
During training, I struggled with unexpected health challenges. Laura helped helped me adjust my marathon plan and goals to remain motivating, but also realistic and attainable.
On the nutrition side, we tracked my habits for a few days to see how I actually ate, rather than how I thought I ate. She helped me think about what I needed more of, and how to eat before, during and after my runs to optimize performance and recovery.
I earned a new PR, beating my last marathon by 20+ minutes. And even though I was tired at the end of the race, I felt good and am already looking toward my next marathon!
I will absolutely work with Coach Laura again for my next marathon, and I would HIGHLY recommend ERT to anyone looking to improve their running performance and/or optimize their nutrition.

“The best thing I have done for myself as a runner is to sign up for coaching with Laura!"
When I started working with Eat Run Thrive Coaching, I was fresh off an injury and had a goal of running my first half marathon. Laura crafted a plan for me that took my healing into consideration, and adjusted it as needed based on my progress.
Not only did I complete my half marathon, I surpassed the time goals that I thought were possible AND had a great time. We’re about to start a marathon training cycle and I couldn’t be more excited to work on this goal with her in my corner.
If you’re looking for a coach, I highly recommend Laura: she’s very knowledgeable, keeps training plans varied enough to make them fun, and is a wonderful cheerleader!”

"When I set my sights on running a marathon, I knew that I needed help."
While I’m a lifelong fitness enthusiast, I had never been a runner. When I set my sights on running a marathon, I knew that I needed help. Laura created a personalized training plan that, with hard work, made a marathon an achievable accomplishment.
As a novice runner, I wasn’t familiar with terms like tempo runs, strides, or fartleks. Laura patiently explained these, and how the different types of training sessions would build my strength and endurance. She crafted a plan that pushed me each week, but never pushed me over the edge.
I really enjoyed the Final Surge platform that Laura uses. Throughout my training cycle, she would send me encouraging notes or ask questions, and she was always quick to reply to any questions that I might send through the app.
The monthly coaching calls were valuable to assess progress and discuss my plan for the month ahead. As the race got closer, Laura transitioned the conversation to prepping me for race day and providing a course strategy for my success.
By race day, I was physically ready and prepared to run my best race. Not only did I complete my first marathon, but based on my great experience, I ran another in the same year with Laura as my coach.

"I’m having the most fun that I’ve had running in a really long time!"
After achieving personal bests in the 5k, 10k, and marathon earlier this year, I knew I had maximized what I could do on my own. To reach my next big running goals, I needed help. And in a short period of time, working with Eat Run Thrive Coaching has made a dramatic difference in my running!
Laura’s coaching and guidance has been an ideal fit for me. After discussing my goals, she developed a flexible, personalized training plan that’s encouraged me to both push myself and to fully recover.
Laura’s positive and passionate energy has been incredible. After a rough workout, Laura has provided words of encouragement. And on the great days, she’s been excited to share in my accomplishments.
ERT has been precisely the running and coaching experience I was searching for! In just a few short months, I have become a stronger runner. I’m less afraid to challenge myself with more daunting paces.
And most importantly, I’m having the most fun I’ve had running in a really long time! I’m excited to continue working with ERT to see what my running journey brings next.

"Despite feeling completely overwhelmed by the idea of a marathon at first, my training plan always felt manageable."
I was convinced by friends to run the Geneva Marathon. I was only averaging 2-3 mile runs at that point and felt half crazy, knowing that it would take some serious training to pull this off. Working with Eat Run Thrive Coaching was the best decision I could have made!
Laura developed a customized training plan based on my current fitness and goals (for me, this was to cross the marathon finish line). She adapted the plan as we went along, based on how I was feeling and how well I was able to follow the plan, acting as a positive voice and personal cheerleader along the way.
Despite feeling completely overwhelmed by the idea of a marathon at first, my training plan always felt manageable, and I even came to enjoy the long distance runs! When race day came, despite a heat wave that caused many more seasoned runners not to finish the race, I was well-prepared enough to cross the finish line in 4.5 hours.
I cannot thank or recommend Eat Run Thrive Coaching highly enough! Laura is a meticulous, dedicated, professional, and I will definitely use her services for any future races.
